Description of the place: The hide is situated in a large marshy meadow by a little forest river.
Description of the hide:
The hide is spacious and made of wood. The path leading to the hide is camouflaged. Each photographer has got 2 holes: a higher one and a lower one and photos can be taken in 2 directions: E and S. Holes are equipped with sleeves.
Size of the hide: 310x310x160cm (width x length x height) plus WC
Floor size: 310x310 cm.
Orientation: E (main direction) and S (drinking pool).
The hide is equipped with WC and can be heated with a gas heater.
Drinking pool is located on the S side of the hide.

Distance from the car to the hide: 100-500m to walk
Distance between the hide and the feeding place: 20-40 m, drinking pool: 5m

Equipment recommendations: Lens 200-600mm, tripod (obligatory!), warm clothes, sleeping bag, head torch, angle finder for low level shots
for pictures taken at the drinking pool optimum lens is 200-400 mm (full frame) or 200-300mm (crop 1,3-1,5) but the best option is zoom 200-400 mm
Additional info: During the White-tailed Eagle feeding time (November-March) you must enter the hide one hour before sunrise at the latest and leave it not earlier than one hour after sunset. We can send you a pdf document with the tips on using the hide if you wish.
Note that cloudy and snowy weather gives the highest chances of successful eagle photography. The chances are much smaller on bright sunny days.
From April till October you can enter/leave the hide anytime.
